The contract also provides for the construction of a office maintenance of rolling stock in Guifões (Matosinhos).

Delivery of the first units is scheduled for 2029.

According to CP, the contract (and material) arrive late due to the legal processes inherent to the award of the competition.

CP is trying to bring forward the railcar delivery schedule and activate the option to acquire 36 more units for urban services.
