The United States Government has announced a new attack against an alleged drug boat in international waters in the Caribbean, in which six people have died. The coup is the first reported in the Caribbean since the United States.
In a published message, the US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, pointed out that the new attack is the first perpetrated during the night since the campaign began on September 2. None of the occupants of the alleged drug boat have survived.
According to the head of the Pentagon, the boat was part of the Aragua Train operation, a Venezuelan criminal gang that the United States included in its list of foreign terrorist organizations in February.
The US president, Donald Trump, has boasted on several occasions about the “success” of the campaign, in which almost a dozen boats have been sunk and more than thirty people have died, and has assured that the next phase of the operation will be carried out by land, although he has not specified how or where.
