The names of those sanctioned were added to the List of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), an agency of the Treasury Department. They are subjected to economic sanctions.
Citizens and companies of the are, in general, prohibited from carrying out any type of financial or commercial transaction with those listed.

Sanctioned by Venezuela
Between September 2024 and January 2025, OFAC imposed financial sanctions on 45 Venezuelan officials for their role in electoral fraud or repression.
Later, on June 1 of this year, the Treasury department included the names of more than 150 Venezuelans and three entities in the country. Among them, his wife and son, the vice president of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez and the Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López.
