The best teeth whitening kit
Our expert has chosen the Aifanciey kit for the results it offers over the days, its comfort of use and the amount of gel it includes.
It is totally necessary to maintain healthy and strong teeth. However, brushing your teeth at least three times a day, flossing or using mouthwashes daily does not ensure having excessively white teeth, since there are many foods and habits (drinking coffee, smoking…) that cause them to take on a yellowish color over time.
For all these reasons, many people look for a specific treatment to have whiter teeth. However, although it is most common to attend a dental clinic, it can also be done at home if you have a tighter budget. These kits allow you to achieve a whiter tone on your teeth easily and in a few weeks. And most importantly, hydrogen peroxide does not appear in the list of its ingredients in quantities higher than those permitted: the marketing of products with more than 0.1% of this chemical compound responsible for whitening teeth is prohibited by European legislation.
How we have chosen and tested the products
Although I have never smoked nor have I drunk coffee in a long time, it is inevitable to have a little yellowish teeth. In general, the treatments performed in dental clinics are quite expensive, so I decided to try these teeth whitening kits at home to see if they worked. Likewise, to choose them I have taken into account the list of ingredients, which are completely safe for dental use and enamel care. After trying them for a few weeks I can say that I have not achieved very white teeth, but with the passage of time they have acquired a whiter and more beautiful tone. Of course, you have to be very constant and check that they do not affect the enamel or sensitivity of the mouth. To use them for the first time, I would take into account the following characteristics:
- Materials and measurements: It is best that the splints are made of medical silicone, to prevent bacteria from appearing and also adapt better to the mouth.
- Components: It is recommended that whitening products do not contain hydrogen peroxide, which can affect the sensitivity and enamel of your teeth.
- Devices: I found the LED technology devices more comfortable than the loose molds, although the latter are easier to use.
- Using experience: Before using them, you must read the instructions carefully and keep in mind that you must use them at least once a day and several times during the week to notice changes in your teeth more immediately.
10 gel tanks: Aifanciey

Who is it for: for those looking for a complete kit.
Why we recommend it: This kit comes with two molds, an LED light device, 10 syringes with whitening, a shade meter, some dental wipes and an instruction manual in Spanish. The latter seemed essential to me to learn how to use it, especially the first few times. The manufacturer recommends using it for at least 15 days to obtain better results. The first thing to do is adapt the mold to your teeth. First you have to run it through hot water to soften it and put it in your mouth for a few seconds so that it takes the shape of your teeth. Afterwards, you have to immerse it in cold water for a few seconds so that it maintains the shape of the teeth and cut out the excess part of the mold. Once these steps have been completed, you just have to put a small drop of whitening on the mold (no more than 0.5 milliliters each time it is used) and apply force with the denture so that it reaches all the teeth. Then you just have to turn on the LED light device, which runs on batteries, and hold it to your mouth for about 20 minutes. As the days went by, I increased it to 45 minutes. The gel, for its part, lasts a long time because you only have to add a little so that it reaches all the teeth.
During the testing days I used it once a day and it seemed to me that my teeth acquired a slightly whiter tone, but without big differences from my natural tone (since I don’t have very yellow teeth). It is true that when compared to photos, the teeth were a little whiter. The tone meter also helps because it gives you an idea as the days go by. After each use you have to brush your teeth (or wipe with a wipe) although the taste in the mouth was not unpleasant and while using it it is not painful; just a little annoying because you have to hold the device by hand.
Its weak points: Having to hold the device by hand is a bit tiring.

Who is it for: For those looking for an easy-to-use kit.
Why we recommend it: In this case, the kit includes a device with an LED light with battery and charging cable, three pens with cleaning gel, instructions for use and a tone meter. To apply it, you do not need a mold that adapts to your teeth: you just have to apply the gel with the pen on your teeth and hold the device close to it for a maximum of 16 minutes. I found this step easier, although it takes longer to apply all the gel correctly: it is best to go tooth by tooth and without using a lot, a little on each tooth is enough. Each pen has about 12 applications so it can be used for a month without problem. The manufacturer recommends using it a maximum of 4 times a week so there were several days of the week when I ‘rested’ and did not use it.
During testing, I found it to be a lightweight device that worked correctly. The gel does not contain any hydrogen peroxide since it has another substance (PAP), which is somewhat softer. In the weeks that I tried it, I noticed my teeth were a little whiter, starting from the fourth use, and without any tooth sensitivity after using it. Overall, I noticed a whitening of a couple of shades compared to the natural color of my teeth.
Its weak points: You have to have some patience to put the cleaning gel on each tooth.

For sensitive teeth: Bledras

Who is it for: for those looking for a kit with gel for sensitive teeth.
Why we recommend it: This kit contains, in addition to the device, 12 doses of whitening gel and 3 soothing agents for sensitive dentures. It also includes a dental floss to care for your teeth after treatment. In this case, the kit works in a similar way to the first one analyzed: the gel is applied to the silicone mold (which comes with a case to store it), which is quite comfortable and adaptable to the denture. Before using it, I brushed my teeth (manufacturer’s recommendation) and applied the gel for sensitive dentures, to check if there was any difference from the normal one.
After the 15 minutes that I was using it for several days of the week, I found that the sensitive gel was softer and my mouth felt calmer than with other gels for normal dentures. Whitening is similar to the rest: some tone is noticeable, but you have to be patient and consistent to notice more significant changes. That it comes with dental floss for after the treatment and that the device includes two batteries, one as a spare, seemed like a plus to me.
Its weak points: You have to be aware of how long you use it since it does not have automatic shut-off.

Who is it for: for those looking for an economical kit.
Why we recommend it: This is the most economical kit in the entire comparison and has 6 cleaning gels, 2 for sensitive dentures along with the device, the mold, a shade guide and an instruction manual. The manufacturer promises up to 8 shades lighter in a week and with just 10 minutes of use. On this occasion, you have to apply the gel directly to the teeth and insert the mold into the mouth with the LED light device. During the testing days, I used the normal gel and the sensitive one, and I liked the sensitive one much more since afterwards my teeth felt very pleasantly soft. During the week of use, it is true that the tone of my teeth lightened a little, but they were never 8 shades whiter. The mouth tray can be stored in a case that is included and, after each use, it is best to brush your teeth to remove any remains of the cleaning gel. For the price it has, it can whiten your teeth somewhat, but without expecting great results.
Its weak points: Whitens teeth a little, but without achieving great results.

Frequently Asked Questions About Teeth Whitening Kits
Is it safe to use a teeth whitening kit at home?
Yes, if used correctly and instructions are followed. It is important not to exceed the recommended application time or frequency. It is also recommended to consult with a dentist before starting, especially if you have sensitive gums, cavities, or fillings.
What is the difference between professional whitening and home whitening?
Professional whitening is performed in a dental clinic with higher concentration products and direct supervision by the dentist, which offers faster results. Home kits, on the other hand, have a lower concentration of the whitening agent, so they are safer for personal use but require more sessions to achieve the same effect.
How long does it take to see the results?
It depends on the product and the initial tone of your teeth. In general, results can begin to be noticed between 3 and 7 days of constant use, although the complete treatment usually lasts between 1 and 3 weeks.
Can it cause tooth sensitivity?
Yes, it is possible to experience tooth sensitivity or gum irritation, especially during the first few days. These symptoms are usually temporary and disappear when you stop treatment or use a less concentrated product.
Who should not use teeth whitening kits?
It is not recommended for children under 16 years of age, pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with cavities, gum problems or dental hypersensitivity or people with crowns, fillings or veneers (since these pieces do not change color).
