The party atmosphere ended in tension during Zé Neto & Cristiano’s show this Sunday (2/11), in Porto, Portugal. The duo had to interrupt after Zé Neto noticed confusion among the public: a woman had been attacked by a man, apparently her partner. Visibly indignant, the singer interrupted the music and asked for help from the security team. “Attention, security personnel, if you can come here, please. The boy broke the girl’s nose there”, warned the countryman, to applause and shouts of support from the audience. Then, he firmly reinforced the message: “You don’t hit women under any circumstances. No matter how certain you are, you shouldn’t hit women. That’s not done.”

The attacker was quickly located and removed from the scene by security, who called the Portuguese authorities. According to witnesses and as seen in Jaquelline’s video, the public reacted with boos and demands for justice while the victim received first aid. In the images, Zé Neto appears visibly shaken, interrupting the show to confirm with the public what had happened.
