The former tennis star Dominika Cibulková is currently guarding her privacy more than ever before. At the end of January, information spread that after many years she and her husband, manager and father of her two children, Michal Navar, were separating. In the Smotánka show on television, Markíza Cibulková revealed how she manages these difficult days.
The tennis player also confirmed the shocking news about the breakup of her marriage on the social network. “Together with Michal, after a long period, we decided to go our separate ways. It was not an easy decision, but we still remain parents of our children who respect each other. Children are and always will be our biggest priority.” she stated.

Although Cibulková is currently avoiding public events, she appeared in the historical premises of the Motešické Palace, where an art exhibition was held. It was a work matter agreed three months in advance, which she did not postpone due to privacy.
The former tennis player answered briefly in front of the cameras how she handles the situation. “It’s probably the most difficult time in my life that I’m going through right now. It’s important for our children and for all of us to deal with it and just move on.” she declared. What are his next plans? “Privately, to survive another day. Life is really not only about the wins, but also about the losses and you have to be able to cope with that,” she said in Smotánka.
The breakup of the marriage apparently did not happen overnight. Cibulková is to have a new partner by her side. The former tennis star was supposed to get closer to their family friend, businessman Tibor Vincz, which with Navara in March 2025 started a business in the gastronomy industry and opened a business with baguettes in Bratislava.
According to Tibor’s wife Alexandra, the families became friends when their children attended the same kindergarten and gradually began to meet regularly. In March last year, they even celebrated Ninka’s 2nd birthday together. Shortly after that, Alexandra should have started to notice that Cibulková is often in contact with Tibor.
“I considered her a friend. I did not expect such an insult from her. Because that is not done. It happened in a short time. I gave everything to the relationship. Family comes first for me. However, it was clear that he did not want it and there is some other excuse behind it. I won’t get the details anymore… And this was what followed,” Vincze explained to and added, that Cibulková and Vincze are an official couple.
According to Alexandra’s claims Vincze are not based on the truth and through his legal representative gave a statement in which he states that their marriage had been going through a crisis for several months before.
“The claims that were published in the article in question do not capture a complete and objective picture of the circumstances of the breakdown of the marriage of Tibor Vincze and Alexandra Vincze. At the same time, the medialized information leads to the false conclusion that the reason for the breakup of their marriage was supposed to be Tibor Vincze’s alleged relationship with Dominika Navara Cibulková. Such a conclusion does not correspond to reality. The marital relationship of Tibor Vincze and Alexandra Vincze was in crisis for a long time, while fundamental disagreements at the partner level were manifested already in the fall of 2024.” he writes in a statement.
“During the mentioned period, they stopped sharing a common household and their cohabitation in a partnership regime was effectively terminated. From the beginning of 2025, the Vincze family began to solve the divorce from the legal side as well, including the preparation of the relevant documentation. At this time, there was no longer a realistic prospect of renewing their partnership (despite partial attempts),” he adds.
“Mediated claims that link the breakdown of the marriage to third parties are therefore misleading and false. The breakup of the marriage was the result of long-term partner disagreements between the spouses and not the result of a relationship with another person. The mutual respect between Tibor Vincze and Alexandra Vincze on the parental level remains preserved, however, their cohabitation was terminated even before the mediatized events,” concluded Vincze’s legal representative.
