On Wednesday evening, warnings of the first degree against ice and wind are valid in places in the mountains. They are to be reckoned with mainly in central Slovakia. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informed about it on the social network.
Ice warnings apply in the entire Banskobystrica region and also in the districts of Gelnica, Rožňava, Spišská Nová Ves, Kežmarok and Levoča. They are released until midnight. From 8:00 p.m., wind warnings are also in effect on the mountains. They are issued in the districts of Banská Bystrica, Brezno, Poprad, Liptovský Mikuláš, Ružomberok and Tvrdošín. The wind here can reach an average speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour, which represents a gale.
