For years he was just a name lost on the margins of the Epstein case. Today, after the publication of three million documents published by the US Department of Justice, complying with the request of Congress, Karyna Shuliak has come to occupy a central place in a story where they mix luxury, power, abuse, silence and a millionaire inheritance born in the heart of one of the biggest scandals of the century.
Belarusian, dentist, discreet to the point of obsession, Shuliak was Jeffrey Epstein’s last known partner and the woman whom the disgraced financier he wanted to become his wife in his last days. Also in the great heir to his fortuneaccording to his last will signed just two days before taking his life in a federal prison in Manhattan, in August 2019.
Forty-eight hours earlier, the pedophile who sexually abused minors for years signed a 32-page testament where he left a total of 100 million dollars to Karyna Shuliaka 36-year-old Belarusian dentist whom, according to ‘The New York Times’, Epstein had known since at least 2012, when she was about 20 years old. He helped her pay for her dental studies.
The hitherto unknown will, called ‘Trust 1953’by Epstein’s year of birth, places as main beneficiary to the young dentist, who today resides in New York. In addition to the 100 million dollarsleft him a annuity, jewelry and properties spread between New York, Florida, Paris and the Caribbean. Among them, the private islands that today symbolize the darkest side of the Epstein empire.
From Minsk to Manhattan
Born in March 1989 in Belarus, Karyna Shuliak came to the United States when she was very young, barely 20 years old. According to judicial documentation, Epstein paid for his dental studiesfirst after passing through the Minsk State Medical University and later Columbia University, where he graduated in 2015.
In the papers she is described as a diligent, polyglot student – she speaks English and Russian fluently, and a little French – and with interests that went beyond dental medicine: architecture, interior design, floral art and international protocol. They were not innocent hobbies. For years, Shuliak managed properties, decorated residences and organized spaces of the tycoon, becoming a key figure in the organization of his domestic and logistical life.
Karyna accompanied Epstein everywhere, and for that reason They nicknamed her ‘the inspector’. He also used to accompany him on his private jet, which is why in July 2019 he witnessed the businessman’s arrest at an airport in New Jersey.

Faithful shield
While the world closed ranks against Epstein after his conviction in 2009 for sexual crimes, she remained by his side. For some, out of loyalty. For others, due to dependency. The documents show detailed credit card expenses, constant emails and a continuous presence in the financier’s private machinery.
Among the meticulously detailed assets that Epstein left behind, a revealing symbol stands out: an engagement ring with a 33-carat diamondaccompanied by others 48 certified diamonds. An unequivocal gesture of a wedding that never took place, but that he left in writing as his intention.
Other heirs
In addition to Shuliak, Epstein names 40 other people as potential beneficiaries of his estate. It should be noted, however, that this has been considerably reduced in the last seven years, after the payment of taxes, restitutions to victims and high legal fees. “At the time of his death, the pedophile’s estate was valued at about $600 million, but according to a recent court filing, it would be valued at $120 million,” quotes ‘The New York Times’.
The executors of his estate insist that no beneficiaries will receive any money until all claims are met, including compensation to victims.
Los two other main beneficiaries who appear in the trust – and whose names have not been crossed out – are Darren Indyke, personal attorney of Epstein, and Richard Kahn, su contable. According to that document, Indyke would be awarded $50 million and Kahn, $25 million.
It is striking how little Epstein leaves behind his faithful friend and accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwellwho was sentenced in 2021 to 20 years in prison on federal charges of conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse teenagers. For both her and her brother, Mark Epsteinthe document establishes the amounts of 10 million dollars, respectively. Epstein also arranged for Martin Nowakprofessor of mathematics at Harvard University and great friend, another 5 million dollars.
The last call
There is one piece of information that hovers over this profile like a disturbing echo: Shuliak was the last person Epstein spoke to on the phone before the authorities declared her suicide in August 2019. A detail that the Anglo-Saxon press has highlighted without drawing conclusions, but which adds even more mystery about the figure of the dentist.
Since then, Shuliak has chosen silence. He lives, according to various sources, in New York. Does not grant interviews. He doesn’t make statements. It is not visible. Her name appears thousands of times in court documents, but she remains out of focus, as if she had learned too well the fundamental lesson of the world around her: to survive is to disappear.
