A light salad full of flavor. The next day it tastes even better

Salad with yogurt sauce is a simple to prepare, but extremely effective addition to dinner dishes. It combines the crunch of vegetables, the sweetness of apple and a slightly spicy note of mustard. The yogurt dressing makes it not only delicious, but also light, perfect for reductions.

This addition enhances the taste and aroma of meat dishes and tastes great when prepared a little earlier, even the day before.

Ingredients for the salad:

  • ½ head of red cabbage,
  • 1 apple,
  • 1 onion.

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 100 ml of natural yogurt,
  • 2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard,
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice,
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil,
  • ½ teaspoon of honey,
  • salt, pepper (to taste).

Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage. Remove the core. Chop the rest finely. You can use a food processor with an appropriate attachment. Transfer the cabbage to a bowl.

Peel and chop the onion finely. Also peel the apple and grate it on the large holes of a grater. Add the onion and apple to the bowl with the cabbage.

In a separate bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add only a small amount of salt and pepper – later you can season the salad to taste.

Mix the sauce into the salad. Cover the bowl with cling film and place in the fridge for an hour. After this time, check if you want to add more salt and pepper to the salad.

You can store the salad for 2-3 days in the refrigerator. It is very tasty the next day after preparation.
