The story of senamadureirense Alan Augusto dos Santos is marked by persistence and profound changes. At the age of 41, he reached the rank of major in the State of Mato Grosso, where he works in one of the corporation’s most specialized units, consolidating a journey built with effort since his youth in the interior of Acre.
Raised in the Cidade Nova neighborhood, in , Alan spent part of his childhood and adolescence at his grandmother’s house, Dona Maria (in memoriam), and studied at the Siqueira de Menezes school. He often recalls the difficulties of that period, when he often walked to school, facing limitations typical of a simple reality.
The trajectory gained public prominence after being initially told by radio broadcaster Edinaldo Gomes, who recalled episodes from the soldier’s life and his connection with the municipality. According to reports, after his father’s death in 2002, Alan moved to Cuiabá, where he started to live with his mother and faced a period of great challenges.
To support himself, he worked as a motorcycle courier during the day and studied at night, traveling up to 200 kilometers a day making deliveries. The effort paved the way for approval in the Mato Grosso State Military Police competition, where he began a career marked by discipline and dedication, culminating in promotion to the rank of major in September last year.
At the corporation, Alan is part of ROTAM, a unit known for working in high-risk operations. He often states that he transformed difficulties into motivation to achieve his goals, highlighting faith and education as fundamental pillars of his path.
In Sena Madureira, Alan maintains family ties and is the cousin of councilor Denis and pastor Deyson Rodrigues, well-known names in the local evangelical community. He currently lives in Chapada dos Guimarães, about 70 kilometers from the capital of Mato Grosso.
