Highlight of the month was the industry, which generated more than 50 thousand jobs
Data released today (3) by the General Register of Employed and Unemployed (Caged), from the Ministry of Labor and Employment, point out that, in January, the Brazil presented a balance of 112,334 new jobs with a formal contract. The result was obtained with the admission of 2,208,030 people and 2,095,696 dismissals. THE Caged is an indicator that measures the difference between hiring and firing.
According to the Minister of Labor and Employment, Luiz Marinho, the The highlight of the month was industry, which generated 54,991 jobs. The data includes adjustments, which consider declarations submitted late by employers and which are rectified by the ministry.
Sectors
In the division by branches of activity, four of the five sectors surveyed created formal jobs in January. Commerce alone saw a drop of 56,800 jobs, due to seasonality. The rest had increases.

Regions and states
In January, positive balances were recorded in 18 of the 27 federative units, with emphasis on Santa Catarina, with 19 thousand jobs, followed by Mato Grosso, with 18,731, and Rio Grande do Sul, with 18,421.
