Crispy chicken drumsticks taste best with simple, classic additions. They have a golden, aromatic coating and a juicy interior that does not need to be dominated by flavor. It is worth serving them with fluffy rice or baked potatoes. Home fries are also great. The whole thing will be well complemented by your favorite sauce, e.g. garlic, barbecue, spicy dip or simply ketchup. Don’t forget about fresh, crispy salad, for example, which will add lightness to the whole dish.

Ingredients:
- a kilogram of chicken drumsticks,
- 130 g of wheat flour,
- 300 ml buttermilk,
- egg,
- 3 teaspoons of granulated onion,
- 3 teaspoons of sweet pepper,
- 2 teaspoons of granulated garlic,
- 2 teaspoons of salt,
- 2 teaspoons of black pepper,
- teaspoon of chili powder.
Additionally:
- oil for deep frying.
How to do it:
1. In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg and half of the spices. Set aside.
2. Put the chicken drumsticks in the buttermilk, cover them thoroughly and turn them over. Place them in a ziplock bag and put them in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. Turn the bag occasionally to evenly coat the chicken.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the other half of the spices. Set aside.
4. Remove the chicken drumsticks from the bag one at a time, allowing the excess buttermilk to drain off. Place the meat in the flour and mix until well coated. Press the breading mixture onto the chicken to create a thick layer. Set the finished batons aside.
5. Heat the oil in a large pot for deep frying. Carefully place the chicken drumsticks in the fat and fry them over medium heat until golden brown and crispy on the outside. The inside temperature should be 75 degrees Celsius. Turn them halfway through frying.
6. Remove the crispy chicken drumsticks from the fat and place them on paper towels to remove excess fat. Serve the dish warm.
