Washington – The US Customs Service (CBP) wants to deploy a system within 45 days to pay back tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump and later declared illegal. This emerges from a court filing by CBP officer Brandon Lord on Friday. The aim is to process the refund of a total of 166 billion dollars to around 330,000 importers. The process will only mean “minimal effort” for the companies affected.
