The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the attack “constitutes a dangerous escalation and a threat to regional security and stability.” “(Attacks) targeting diplomatic missions and facilities represent a gross violation of all international norms and laws,” it stressed.
It was not immediately clear where the drone came from, the statement said, and the UAE called on local authorities to “investigate the circumstances of this attack in order to identify those responsible.”
Iran has been retaliating against Dubai and other cities, along with US bases in the Persian Gulf, since February 28 when the US and Israel attacked it. The United Arab Emirates announced that it had recorded more than a thousand strikes against its territory since the start of Iranian operations.
