The Civil Police are investigating a report of gang rape that allegedly occurred in the bathroom of a school located in the north of São Paulo. The victim is a 12-year-old boy. The case was registered on February 27th.
According to information in the police report, the teenager reported having been abused by four students from the teaching unit itself. The suspects are said to be 7th and 9th grade students.
The occurrence was registered as an infraction analogous to the crime of rape of a vulnerable person, as it involved minors. On March 2, the mother contacted the school to ask for action. After that, those responsible for two of the teenagers were called by the unit’s management.

Also according to the records, during that moment, one of the students allegedly addressed words to the victim, warning him to “think carefully” about what he would tell the management, and saying that he could attack him as he left school if he insisted on making the complaint.
The police stated that the boy is undergoing psychological support at school and received a referral from UBS for follow-up at the Bem Quer Me Unit.
HAS CNNthe São Paulo State Department of Education regretted what happened and “repudiates any and all forms of violence and abuse, inside or outside schools”. The secretariat also informed that it contacted the Guardianship Council and those responsible for the students as soon as it received the complaint. In addition, the Northern Regional Education Unit 1 will open an investigation to investigate the management’s conduct in relation to what happened.
There were teams from the Coexistence Improvement and School Protection Program on site to monitor the case and guide school employees.
“URE and the school are available to the authorities to provide all necessary clarifications,” he said in a statement.
According to the SSP-SP (Public Security Secretariat of the State of São Paulo), the case was registered as an infraction of rape of a vulnerable person and the victim will be heard in the presence of those responsible. Details of the incident will be preserved due to its criminal nature and because it involves a minor.
The complaint was taken to the 46th DP and forwarded to the 74th DP, the area where the infraction occurred.
