The document, signed by the president of Novo, Eduardo Ribeiro and forwarded to the Board of Directors, says that the deputy “acts deliberately and voluntarily to persecute those who express opinions contrary to her understanding, using her mandate to give a color of strengthening power to her positions”.

Novo reinforces, in its request to the Ethics Council, two other cases and says that, “because of this, the federal deputy could not assume some positions of power that would have been created to represent the interests and rights of women”.
According to deputy Luiz Lima (Novo-RJ), the measures taken by the deputy at the MPF, the Ministry of Communications and Justice constitute the use of the state structure for intimidation.
“Parliament must be a space for a plurality of ideas. Criticizing authorities is part of democracy, and reacting to criticism with intimidation or attempts at censorship is incompatible with the democratic spirit”, says Lima.
