To television Awning a new host face is coming. Simona Leskovská, who has years of experience in the sports environment, joins the sports editorial team. The audience will see the partner of football player Stanislav Lobotka in the Športové Novín studio already on Wednesday, March 18.
The name of the experienced journalist has already been inflected with Markíza. She was written about as a stand-in for Janka Hospodárová, who got a stop sign for performing in Let’s Dance. The marquee introduced a rule that editors or presenters cannot act in both a news program and an entertainment show at the same time.
Hospodárová was the first to be eliminated from Let’s Dance on Sunday, but nothing has changed about the news in the sports editorial office. Fans don’t have to worry either, Leskovská is not supposed to replace her on the screen, but to expand the Markíza television team.
“I consider being a part of TV Markíz’s sports coverage as a professional dream come true. I have been working in sports for 12 years and I believe that everything in life will come at the right time. I look forward to all the viewers of TV Markíz with great humility and at the same time with enthusiasm.” says Simona Leskovská.
The new colleague is also welcomed in the newsroom by a TV star. “It’s always nice when someone’s dreams come true, that’s why I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Simone and I wish her the most pleasant acclimatization in the role of the presenter of Športové noviny in the studio and in our editorial office.” said Jana Hospodárová. Peter Varinský also expressed his support. “I think that Sima is the type that the camera likes, she has shown that she is willing to work hard on herself and football is her passion. If she continues to expand her horizons in other sports, she will definitely be an asset to the editorial office of Športové noviny,” he adds.
According to the director of the Center for News and Publicity TV Markíz, the arrival of a new presenter is a natural step in the further development of television sports reporting. “Sports newspapers are an important part of news coverage and have long been among the most popular broadcast segments among viewers. I am glad that Simona Leskovská is joining the team, who brings a combination of experience from the sports environment, natural expression and strong motivation,” stated Michal Kratochvíl.
