This is the first time that a Brazilian feature film competes in the best cast category, recently created by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences.

Among the winners announced so far are Amy Madigannamed best supporting actress for “The Hour of Evil”, e Sean Pennwho won the statuette for best supporting actor for “One battle after another”. The film “Sinners” also stood out by winning in the original screenplay category, while “One battle after another” won the adapted screenplay award.
