The federal deputy Kim Kataguiri (Missão-SP) said this Monday (16) that the Mission Party will define in June whether it will leave candidate for the government of São Paulo. The parliamentarian made a statement in an interview with the program Straight to the Pointyes Jovem Pan News.

“This wasn’t something that was on my radar, I never expressed a desire to run in elections for state government this year, but they included my name in the polls and my score surprised me”, he reported.

Kataguiri said he “didn’t expect to have so much support” due to the projection of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans). The federal deputy considered that the head of the São Paulo Executive he has more tools in his candidacy because he is already “in the chair”, has a strong coalition and is a better known name.

The parliamentarian stated that one of the issues under consideration when moving to Palácio dos Bandeirantes is the possibility of his candidacy project the tickets to the Chamber of Deputies and the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp), in addition to the president of the Mission Party, Renan Santos, to Planalto.

“We intend to do this by showing in the right-wing camp, but attracting and being open to people from all political spectrums that we have the most concrete, deepest, toughest and courageous proposals in relation to combating organized crime”, he responded when asked about the Mission Party campaign in the elections.

Relationship with União Brasil

Asked about the relationship with the old acronym, União BrasilKataguiri said that “still very bad”. Regarding the difference between his old party and the current one, the federal deputy said that Missão “is a real party”.

“União Brasil, as well as most of the parties in the Centrãoit is a gathering of people contesting the election”, he stated.

The federal deputy said that a legend “has militancy, a program and ideals”, from which it does not deviate. “How do you explain a party having 15 deputies in the opposition, at the same time that it has 40 deputies in the government base and indicates ministries for the government? Obviously, there is no program, because, if there were, either everyone was opposition or everyone was government”, he declared.
