Alex Moser, the new fisherman in the new Naschmarkthalle, is currently having quite a run. Because of the splendor, anyone who comes to the stand could almost think that they have landed in the Baroque era, at a time when we still had a large (freshwater) fish culture: once popular, now reviled white fish such as roach or squid, forearm-length tench, thigh-thick catfish, river perch, tench and sometimes even rarities such as the magnificently spotted eel rods lie there, promisingly shining, on ice, upon request there are even livers, roe or milk.
