Guarulhos will receive its 1st metro station in 2032

Government authorizes the construction of Dutra station on Line 2-Green, which will connect Guarulhos to the capital and CPTM; capacity will be 90,000 passengers per day

The city of Guarulhos will receive its 1st metro station. Cetesb (Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo) authorized on Monday (March 23, 2026) the construction of the Dutra station, on Line 2-Green of the Metro, in the municipality. The work is expected to be completed in 2032.

The release is part of the expansion project for Line 2-Green of the São Paulo Metrodivided into two phases. The objective is to connect the Penha and Dutra stations, integrating the metro system with the São Paulo Metropolitan Train Company.

The station will be built on the banks of the Presidente Dutra Highwayin front of the International Shopping Guarulhos. The structure will have direct access to the establishment, facilitating integration between public transport and local commerce. All construction will be underground and carried out using the open pit method.

STRUCTURE AND CAPACITY

The new station will occupy 34,000 m² and should serve around 86,000 passengers per day. It will be the 1st station on Line 2-Green located in the municipality.

The architectural project provides for three accesses via the road, four circulation levels and two platforms. The infrastructure will have 18 turnstile locks, 10 elevators, as well as escalators and fixed stairs. The station will follow modern accessibility and urban mobility standards.

In the future, the Dutra station will establish a connection with Line 19-Celeste, which has not yet been built. The integration will create a connection between the center of São Paulo and the center of Guarulhos, facilitating movement between the two cities.
