The government program of the pre-candidate for Palácio dos Bandeirantes, Fernando Haddad (PT), will be mainly based on points already considered in the previous campaign, in 2022 — strategy that should guide its actions in the São Paulo elections in 2026.

In conversation with the column, state deputy Emídio de Souza (PT), chosen by the former minister to coordinate the function, stated that the The project is expected to be ready by mid-Augustfor the start of the pre-campaign. “We are not starting from scratch,” he explained.

Among the main points, which should gain prominence in Haddad’s government plan, are for the electoral race for the State of São Paulo in 2026: public security, privatizations and tolls.

Regarding privatizations, Emídio mentioned a special look at Sabesp, privatized in 2024. He ruled out, however — — reversing the process.

“We are not going to reverse, undo, renationalize. We are going to start with what we have and see how we can improve. Not only with Sabesp, but with other companies that are on this path, such as Metrô and CPTM, Via Mobilidade…”, he guaranteed.

For PT, Sabesp is one of the most sensitive topics — the agenda is dear to the party’s electorate, but the internal reading is that caution is needed, as the party seeks to attract an audience more towards the center, including businesspeople who may be in favor of the measure.

He also highlighted areas such as health and education, but reinforced that public security in São Paulo must be one of the main axes of the campaign, with greater detail before official release.

“Right now, we’re going to start making a diagnosis. We have a lot of information from previous campaigns, in addition to what happened in recent years. So we’re going to collect data, form a capable team, update the previous program and promote debates. From there, we’ll start building”, he revealed.

In addition to Emídio, Haddad’s pre-campaign has already defined other strategic namessuch as marketer Otávio Antunes and the party’s state president, Kiko Celeguim, in coordination.
