The published the Epidemiological Bulletin of Respiratory Syndromes, referring to epidemiological weeks (SE) 1 to 11 of the years 2024 to 2026. The bulletin indicates that 667 cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SRAG) were identified in 2026 in Acre.
According to the bulletin, the most vulnerable population are children aged 0 to 9 years and elderly people over 60 years of age, which continue to be the most susceptible, most affected age groups and with the highest hospitalization rates.

The number represents a significant increase from SE 9 and a decrease in cases from SE 10 to date, in SE 11.

In 2026, from collections carried out on patients hospitalized with SARS, the results show RSV, Rhinovirus, Influenza A Influenza A (H1N1) pdm09, Non-subtyped Influenza A, Sars-CoV-2, Adenovirus, H3/Seasonal, Metapneumovirus, Influenza A (H3N2), Non-subtypeable Influenza A, Parainfluenza 1 and Bocavirus in hospitalized patients diagnosed with pneumonia, bronchitis and bronchiolitis.

The information presented in the bulletin is based on data from the four Sentinel Units for SG: UPA of the 2nd District in Rio Branco, Hospital Raimundo Chaar in Brasiléia and UPA Jacques Pereira in Cruzeiro do Sul and UBS Maria de Fátima in Plácido de Castro, as well as the hospitalization units for SARS in the state.
Between January and March 2026, the SARS epidemiological situation is characterized by an increase in hospitalizations, driven mainly by Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Rhinovirus and Influenza A.
The growth in hospitalizations for influenza A and RSV shows that the state has reached an alert level, in the general SARS indicator, especially in hospitalizations of young children.

The concentration of cases follows the trend of higher population densities and regional hubs: Rio Branco, the capital, already has a state of alert or risk for SARS., Cruzeiro do Sul showed significant growth, contributing to the level of alert. The municipalities of Feijó and Marechal Thaumaturgo also recorded relevant numbers of notifications during this period.
Rio Branco has the highest number of cases in the state, with 213, followed by Cruzeiro do Sul, with 132.
