Econe/Vatican City/Salzburg – The traditionalist Pius Brothers ordained four priests from their community in Switzerland as bishops on Wednesday morning – against the express ban of Pope Leo XIV, as Kathpress reports. This means that those involved, the two ordaining bishops Alfonso de Galarreta and Bernard Fellay and the four newly ordained bishops Pascal Schreiber, Michael Goldade, Michel Poinsinet de Sivry and Marc Hanappier, are automatically excommunicated according to canon law.
