Israeli attack leaves at least four dead in Lebanon

Residential streets were covered in rubble in Saksakiyeh, in southern Lebanon, this Saturday (28), after an Israeli attack hit a house, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The attack killed four people and injured eight others, the ministry said when releasing a preliminary death toll.

A resident of Saksakiyeh, Hassan Badrane, said the house belonged to a neighbor and that there were children inside at the time of the attack.

He added that two of his sons were injured, including one who serves in the Lebanese army.

The Israeli army has ordered people to leave much of the country’s south, as well as the Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs of Beirut and the group’s strongholds in eastern Lebanon.

Israel’s Defense Minister stated that the country intends to create a “security zone” until the , which flows into the sea about 30 km north of the border with Israel.

Israel Katz said hundreds of thousands of Shiites will not return to southern Litani until the security of northern Israel is guaranteed.
