Public law Radio_FM on Friday in the Great Concert Studio of the Slovak Radio awarded the laureates 18th Radio_Head Awards. The gala evening was marked by significant musical performances and confirmed the diversity of domestic production. The audience and expert juries decided on the award winners for the year 2025 in main and genre categories. STVR’s PR manager Ivana Zečevič informed TASR about it.
She became one of the most prominent personalities of the evening Meowlauthe solo project of Laura Jašková from the band Billy Barman. She impressed not only how Publication deadline 2025but she also surprised by winning the category Song of the year with recording Broken. The strong position was confirmed by the producer FVLCRVMwhich out of five nominations for the award, converted two of them, in categories Debut of the year a Electronic music.
An unexpected moment occurred during the announcement Album of the year 2025where they recognized two projects: Fall arrest of Anthropos a Fvck_kvlt for the Dead Revolution. Denis Bango alias Fvck_kvlt also succeeded in the category Journalist award and followed up on his success two years ago.
Award for contribution to music was taken over by a cult band Without idleness and storagewhich significantly shapes the shape of the alternative music scene and celebrated its 40th anniversary last year “We are pleased that this year also brought strong artistic statements, new discoveries and the confirmation of established names. Thus, Rádio_FM once again fulfilled its role of supporting domestic creativity in all its diversity.” Janka Imrichová, manager of Rádia_FM, said.
Expert juries decided on laureates in genre categories ranging from folk to jazz to experimental or classical music. They won in them FVLCRVM (electronic music), Dorota Nvotová (folk music), Furious (hard and heavy), Julia Kozáková (world music), Nikola Bankov (jazz music), or What? (experimental music). They made their mark in the classics AD SOURCES to Sylvia Urdová for the recording Spiritual music in Slovakia. The project was awarded the Advance Investments Foundation award MonoPlastic.
The presentation of awards was diversified by musical performances, connecting different genres and generations of performers.
