Algarve wines will be highlighted at Faro Airport on the 1st and 2nd of April, as part of a promotional campaign organized by the Algarve Wine Commission (CVA).
The initiative aims to “make the quality and diversity of regional production known to national and international visitors”, informs CCDR Algarve in a statement.
The action will be monitored on April 1st, at 10:30 am, by the president of , José Apolinário, and by the vice-president for Agriculture and Fisheries, Fernando Severino.
The Algarve wine sector “has been asserting itself in recent years, having registered a production record in 2024 of around 2 million liters, revealing the dynamics and growing maturity of this sector”.
As the entity responsible for certifying and promoting Algarve wines, CVA has played an important role in enhancing the value of the product.
According to the organization, the commission’s work has contributed to consolidating the notoriety of Algarve wines, both nationally and internationally.
The action is part of the Algarve Wines promotion plan for 2026, with the aim of reinforcing the notoriety of the wine region.
Taking place at one of the main gateways to the destination, the initiative reinforces “the link between wine, tourism and regional identity”, helping to position the Algarve as a “quality wine producing region”.
