Trump fires prosecutor Pam Bondi after criticism for her handling of the Epstein case

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, fired the country’s Attorney General Pam Bondi this Thursday (2), following criticism of the handling of the Epstein case. The resignation was confirmed by the president on social media.

Trump said Bondi will now work in the private sector. “She will transition to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future.”

The American leader also stated that the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, will take on the role on an interim basis. “Our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General,” he wrote.
