The Iranian army threatens “more devastating attacks than ever” after the bombing of a bridge in Alborz

The Iranian army has threatened after the bombing of a bridge under construction in the province of Alborz, that any attack against these infrastructures or against power plants will provoke attacks “more devastating than ever” not only to the United States and Israel, but also to their allies, according to the spokesman for the Khatam al Anbiya Central Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari.

Furthermore, the spokesperson has reiterated that “countries that host US bases must force US forces to withdraw if they want to stay safe.”

At least 8 people were killed and almost a hundred injured this morning in several US airstrikes in Alborz, a province in northern Iran, adjacent to the capital. The attacks hit, among other places, the B1 bridge, the longest in the Middle East still under construction.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abas Araqchí published on his official X account that “attacks on civilian infrastructure, including unfinished bridges, will not force Iranians to surrender.”

Araqchí defended that “all bridges and buildings will be rebuilt more solid. What will never be recovered: the damage caused to the reputation of the United States.”

For his part, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, referred to the destruction of the bridge through a publication on his Truth Social network. “Iran’s largest bridge is collapsing and will never be used again — and this is just the beginning! It’s time for Iran to make a deal before it’s too late and there’s nothing left of what could still be a great country!” Trump wrote. (Efe)
