Monika Křivová, lawyer, mediator and entrepreneur at first glance, she seems like a woman who lacks nothing. However, the opposite is true, since her fiancé is former mafia boss Mikuláš Černák, who spent more than 28 years behind bars and it is not excluded that he will spend the rest of his life in prison.
For twelve years, she has stood by his side, although they are separated by bars. He attracted her as a young girl and their relationship is stronger than ever. And that despite the fact that they cannot spend even a few minutes alone during her visit to the prison in Leopoldov. It is strictly forbidden.
Monika is in constant contact with the community on social networks. Most recently, she published a comment by an unknown Slovak woman who pointed to an unexplained case of the Slovak underworld. “And where are all the others? After all, he wasn’t his own boss, he wasn’t alone in this. How much he took on from the circle of politics and business. How many kidnappings, robberies, alcohol, drugs… how many politicians are still afraid that something will come to light,” she wrote without a napkin.
She hardened her thinking and thought about the fate of other well-known names from the criminal environment. “The Sýkor family, the Mellov family, the Takač family, why are half of them free and unpunished? They live as if nothing happened. He made a mistake by keeping silent for so long. It could have been a different truth, a fairer one.” she stated in a post that did not leave Křivová cold.
The well-known blonde decided to respond and with her words reveal the background behind Černák’s decision-making in the past. “I agree that he shouldn’t have remained silent. Kán (a close associate of Černák, editor’s note) was cowering for years because of the fear that Miki would speak out, and Miki felt sorry for him and that’s why he kept silent. NOT BECAUSE HE DIDN’T REGRET WHAT THEY DID! And that’s the saddest part, that he paid the price for not being able to betray.” Křivová thinks about the former gang. Černak broke his silence and confessed to multiple murders and other crimes only about 10 years after he was imprisoned.
The former boss of the Banská Bystrica underworld, Mikuláš Černák, tried to return to freedom after 28 years behind bars. Although the Trnava District Court denied his request for parole on September 24, 2025the period after the case has not yet fallen. The defense immediately appealed against the verdict, so the fate of the life-sentenced mobster will have to be decided by the regional court.
The appeal in the case of the conditional release of the ex-mafia is already pending at the Regional Court in Trnava. “The file material of the Trnava District Court was submitted to the regional court on February 5, 2026. The file is with the judge for study. It is not yet known when the matter will be decided,” said court spokeswoman Jana Kondákorová.
