US-Israeli strikes hit a petrochemical center in southwestern Iran on Saturday, Iranian media reported, citing a local source. Five people were injured in the incident, TASR writes, according to a report by the AFP agency.
“The explosions occurred in the special petrochemical zone in the city of Mahshahr,” the Fars news agency reported, citing the deputy governor of Khuzistan province. According to him, the attack affected three companies in this area.
The extent of the damage is unknown
The Tasnim news agency added that “the extent of the damage remains unknown.” Five people were injured in the attacks, but it was not immediately clear if there were any deaths, the deputy governor added.
Projectile at the power plant
A projectile from an American-Israeli attack landed near the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southwest Iran, Iranian media reported on Saturday. One person reportedly died in the incident, writes TASR based on the AFP agency.
“Following the criminal American-Zionist attacks, a projectile hit the area near the Bushehr nuclear power plant in the southwest of the country at around 8:30 a.m. (local time) on Saturday morning,” the IRNA news agency reported.
She added that one of the guards of the building was killed, but the equipment of the power plant was not damaged, according to her.
