Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic, stated that, if he wins this year’s election, his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), will “walk up the ramp” of the Palácio do Planalto with “all the people persecuted” in January of next year.
The statements took place this Saturday, 11th, in an interview with journalists in Porto Alegre (RS). “If God allows, we will win this election in the 1st round. There are projects being processed in the National Congress, it is not an amnesty, but it is truly resetting the game, to do justice not only to President Bolsonaro, but to Débora do Batom”, declared Flávio, when mentioning hairdresser Débora Rodrigues dos Santos, sentenced to 14 years in prison for participating in the coup acts of January 8, 2023.
The senator continued: “Congress understands this, but part of it is still a little afraid of voting on a project like this. Because it is clearly not unconstitutional. Amnesty is the exclusive responsibility of the National Congress.”
Afterwards, Flávio said he believes that, after the October elections, Congress will approve amnesty for those convicted of the coup acts. “That’s why I say: not just President Bolsonaro, but all the people who were persecuted will climb the ramp with us in January of next year,” he stated.
Flávio is in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul on the occasion of the launch of the pre-candidacy of federal deputy Zucco (PL-RS) for the state government. Earlier, he also participated in a breakfast with women and said that the PT will be “irrelevant” from next year.
In addition to supporting Zucco, Flávio Bolsonaro also endorses the pre-candidacies of deputies Marcel Van Hattem (Novo-RS) and Sanderson (PL-RS) for the Senate.
