Van Aert wins Paris-Roubaix in the finish sprint ahead of Pogacar


Roubaix – The Belgian Wout van Aert won the classic Paris-Roubaix for the first time after a thrilling finish sprint against cycling superstar Tadej Pogacar. In a race marked by defects over 258.3 kilometers and 30 cobblestone sectors, the 31-year-old had the faster legs in the two-man sprint and won the 123rd edition of the prestigious one-day race. Pogacar missed out on winning all five cycling monuments in a row.
