Media Minister Andreas Babler (SPÖ) sees the “grievances” that have come to light at ORF as a “true catastrophe”. However, the events surrounding the resignation of ORF General Director Roland Weißmann and the list of top salaries “should not be used to completely question the ORF as an institution,” explained Babler on Monday at a conference on media and democracy in his ministry. The planned ORF reform will lead to a “freer and stronger ORF”.
