Bessent says US growth could exceed 3% or 3.5% in 2026

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Tuesday that the underlying U.S. economy remains strong and that growth could still exceed 3% or 3.5% this year, despite the impact of the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran.

He also commented on , saying they could return to previous levels by July by imposing sweeping global tariffs under an emergency law.
