Preparations for whale rescue continue, experts see little chance of rescue

Wismar/Schwerin – The private rescue initiative for the humpback whale stranded off the German island of Poel wants to continue its work on Saturday. The first test flushes were carried out on Friday and additional material was brought in. However, it was already clear then: “We are a day behind,” said Mediamarkt founder Walter Gunz to the dpa. He is financing the campaign together with the entrepreneur Karin Walter-Mommert.
