Cruzeiro beat Grêmio 2-0, this Saturday (12), in the 12th round of the Brasileirão. The match was played at Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte, which received fans.
The goals of the match were scored by Christian and Lucas Romero, the birthday boy of the day, both in the second half.
Raposa is recovering, a condition in which he has been since the first round of the Brazilian Championship.
Grêmio, in turn, continues to struggle to score as a visitor in this Brasileirão. Also Portuguese Luís Castro’s team has two draws and four defeats away from home.
Table situation and upcoming games
With the victory, Cruzeiro pushed Corinthians into the relegation zone. The team from Minas Gerais reaches 13 points, in 16th place, the first outside the Z4.
The Fox now focuses. In the fifth phase, the team visits Goiás, on Wednesday (22), at 7pm (Brasília time), at Serra Dourada.
Grêmio will also make its first appearance in this edition of the Copa do Brasil, but on Tuesday (21), when it hosts Confiança, from Sergipe, at 7:30 pm.
In the Brasileirão, Tricolor is provisionally in 14th position, but could be overtaken by Santos. The team also has 13 points, one more than Corinthians, who opens the Z4.
