Mayor of Cuiabá refutes left-wing narrative about the field and confirms visit by Flávio Bolsonaro
The mayor of Cuiabá, Abílio Brunini (PL-MT), one of Jair Bolsonaro’s closest allies in the state, went to Norte Show to defend the agribusiness agenda and anticipate the visit of senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), expected in Sinop on Wednesday (22).
For Brunini, the field cannot be left out of the presidential debate. “Agriculture is one of the main economies of this country, it is what has generated the most new revenue for our country. So we cannot leave this discussion aside.”
The mayor was direct in refuting what he calls the left’s mistaken narrative. “Much is built on prejudice, on a discussion of narratives among the left, as if agriculture was the big villain in this story. But quite the opposite, it is agriculture that keeps our country’s economy firm and strong.”
Brunini also made the link with the 2026 electoral dispute. “The candidate for president or pre-candidate for president who does not come and talk to agriculture is leaving aside a very large economic force.”
And he praised the Bolsonaro family: “Flávio Bolsonaro, like his father, has always paid attention to these issues and will continue to do so. So he comes here to Sinop now, on the 22nd, to strengthen this relationship with Mato Grosso’s agriculture and bring good results to our nation.”
