Força Sindical invited Lula’s former ministers and candidates in São Paulo, () and (), to their event on May 1st, in the capital of São Paulo. The invitation is signed by the entity’s president, Miguel Torres.
Held by Força Sindical and with the participation of CNTM (National Confederation of Workers) and the Metalworkers Union of São Paulo and Mogi das Cruzes, the event has as its motto Jobs, Rights, Democracy, Sovereignty and Decent Life.
The event should start at 11am, at the Metalworkers Union headquarters in the Liberdade neighborhood.
As the Panel showed, the unions decided to break with a decades-old tradition and will not hold a large unified May Day event this year in São Paulo.
The guidance for unions, approved by the entities, is to mark the date in a decentralized way, with demonstrations located across the country.
In recent years, the six main unions (CUT, Força Sindical, UGT, CTB, CBS and Nova) have organized large Labor Day demonstrations, in places such as Praça Charles Miller, Vale do Anhangabaú and Praça Campo de Bagatelle, in São Paulo.
