Meta signs multibillion-dollar deal with Amazon to use chips in AI

Meta and Amazon have reached a multibillion-dollar, multi-year deal in which Facebook’s parent company will use tens of millions of Graviton chip cores from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support its artificial intelligence (AI) agents and other initiatives in the area. The agreement provides for the possibility of expansion as Meta’s AI capabilities grow, according to a statement released this Friday, 24.

The companies did not disclose financial terms or the exact duration of the agreement. Amazon vice president and senior engineer Nafea Bshara said the contract will last three to five years, according to the The Wall Street Journal.
