Bolsonaro is confined to the lot — prohibited from circulating the streets, using common areas or receiving visitors without authorization — and must wear an electronic ankle bracelet. You cannot use a cell phone, internet or social networks, nor through third parties.

At home, the former president returned to live with the former first lady (PL), his daughter Laura, 15, and his stepdaughter Letícia Firmino. The minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), denied the defense’s request for “free access” for the children to the residence and stated that “the replacement of the place of serving the sentence cannot be confused with the progression to a more lenient regime”.

Children who do not live in the house — the senator and pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic (PL-RJ), (PL) and councilor Jair Renan (PL-SC) — can visit him on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 8 am to 10 am, 11 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. Lawyers have daily access, from 8:20 am to 6:00 pm, but limited to 30 minutes per visit — at Papudinha, they could stay for up to two hours. Flávio was registered as a member of the defense to have more access to his father.

All visitors are searched and must hand over their cell phones to security. The medical team has no restrictions.

Moraes ordered the Military Police of the Federal District to shoot down and seize drones that fly over a radius of 100 meters from the house. The order provides for the arrest of operators in the act.

Undercover police officers guard the door of the residence. All trunks of vehicles leaving the house are searched. Moraes banned demonstrations, gatherings and camps within a radius of 1 km.

Bolsonaro was convicted by the STF in September 2025. Arrested at the Superintendency of Brasília in November of the same year, after trying to break the electronic ankle bracelet, he was transferred in January to Papudinha, next to Complexo da Papuda.

The former president was hospitalized for two weeks at the DF Star hospital in March, with bacterial bronchopneumonia in both lungs. On March 27, he was discharged and went straight to his residence. Humanitarian house arrest was authorized by Moraes for an initial period of 90 days.

After 90 days of home stay, the minister will determine a new analysis of the requirements for maintaining the measure, with the possibility of medical expertise. If experts assess that the former president has recovered, he will be able to return to Papudinha.
