2 May (Reuters) – Iran executed this Saturday two men accused of spying for Israel, one of whom had gathered intelligence information near the Natanz nuclear facility in the central province of Isfahan, Iranian media reported.
The press cited the judiciary as saying that Yaghoub Karimpour and Nasser Bakarzadeh were hanged after being found guilty of intelligence cooperation with Israel and its spy agency, the Mossad.
Karimpour was said to have passed confidential information to a Mossad official, while Bakarzadeh was accused of collecting details on government and religious figures and on important sites, including in the Natanz area.
