Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held this Sunday 3) a series of diplomatic consultations with Oman and Germany to discuss peace efforts in the region. In conversations with the Omani minister, Badr Al-Busaidi, and the German Chancellor, Heiko Maas, Araghchi detailed, in a statement on Telegram, Tehran’s initiatives to end what he classified as a “war imposed” by the United States and Israel at this stage.
The diplomatic move comes less than 24 hours after Iran confirmed the delivery of a plan for the permanent end of hostilities, mediated by the Pakistani government.

Dialogue with Oman is seen as strategic, given the country’s historic role as a mediator between Tehran and the West in moments of acute crisis this season. Araghchi reinforced the need to stabilize the region and stop the rise in tensions, while Iranian authorities await an official position from the White House on the points presented in the peace plan delivered this past Friday.
According to Iran’s Deputy Minister for International and Legal Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, the proposal sent to Washington aims to guarantee the country’s security and national interests, highlighting that Iran is prepared both for the diplomatic route and for maintaining the confrontation if the North American decision is to continue the conflictual approach.
In response, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated, in Truth Social, that he will review the document soon, but expressed strong skepticism about accepting the terms at this time. Trump wrote that he does not imagine the plan to be acceptable, arguing that Iran has not yet paid an adequate price for its actions in recent decades.
