The full-back scored from close range to make it 2-0 in the 40th minute in the medium-sized company’s away win against the relegation candidate on Sunday. Thanks to their success, Mainz secured their place in the league two rounds before the end. Mönchengladbach won the Borussia duel with Dortmund 1-0 in front of the home crowd.
