The will promote, for the seventh year, the Grande Caracolada à Escoteiro, scheduled for May 16, 2026, next to the Municipal Market, in the old dock space.
Held for the first time in 2018, the initiative has been consolidating itself as one of the city’s landmark events, attracting residents and visitors.
Music and gastronomy mark the program
This year’s edition will feature musical entertainment from the group Acordeanima, by Hugo Madeira, from Rancho Folclórica de Santo Estêvão, and also with a performance by the Dance Company Group. The event is scheduled to start at 1pm and entry is free.
The organization guarantees that “it will undoubtedly be a very lively afternoon”, where there will be no shortage of traditional snails, as well as steaks, picapau and other gastronomic specialties that are already part of the initiative’s identity.
The Corpo Nacional de Escutas – Escutismo Católico Português is an association founded in 1923, dedicated to the comprehensive education of children and young people of both sexes, through adult volunteering.
With more than 70 thousand members in Portugal and around 40 million around the world, the CNE is a non-profit and public utility entity, recognized by the Portuguese State.
