US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he rejected Iran’s response to the US proposal to end the war in the Middle East, calling it “totally unacceptable”. TASR informs about it based on the AFP report.
“I just read the response of the so-called Iranian “representatives”. I don’t like her – SHE’S TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social social network, without elaborating on specific parts of Tehran’s response.
The Iranian government announced a few days ago that it is considering a proposal from the US. It is a 14-point memorandum of understanding, which aims, among other things, to create a framework for negotiations. These were initially supposed to last 30 days and lead to the end of the war. According to media reports, the easing of US sanctions and agreements on the future of the Strait of Hormuz are also being discussed. In addition, it is planned to create a basis for negotiations on the controversial Iranian nuclear program.
