The Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJ) of the Federal Senate is expected to vote, later this month, on the bill that creates the PIX Pensão.

The text, written by federal deputy Tabata Amaral (PSB)establishes the automatic transfer of alimony, as if it were a payroll debit, directly from the payer’s account.

Internally, there is even an expectation of a faster vote, next week, but parliamentarians are waiting for further definitions at the end of the week.

Last week, the project’s rapporteur in the Senate, Ana Paula Lobato (PSB), forwarded her favorable opinion to the CCJ. She highlighted that the measure increases the effectiveness of food execution; reduces strategic default; improves financial predictability for children and adolescents and reduces litigation and overload on the Judiciary.

Currently, the pension can be automatically debited from the debtor’s salary – but this depends on the Court’s approval of each delay. The new text would make the procedure automatic and continuous. In the Chamber of Deputies, the text was approved in September 2025.
