US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that President Donald Trump will not allow Iran to use rising gasoline prices as “leverage” to end hostilities in the Middle East, in comments this Thursday.
“We’re not going to let Iran use this as an advantage. I think what the president is making clear is that if the Iranians think they’re going to use our internal politics to pressure him into making a bad deal, that’s not going to happen,” he defended.
Rubio said the U.S. is taking “extraordinary measures” to keep gas prices lower than in other parts of the world. Source: Associated Press.
