A joint operation by the Civil and Military police carried out this Friday (26) in Lapa, central region of Rio de Janeiro, resulted in the arrest of six people and the apprehension of a teenager with a search and seizure warrant for an infraction similar to the crime of robbery.
According to the Civil Police, the action was coordinated by agents from the 5th DP (Mem de Sá) and the 18th DP (Praça da Bandeira), with support from the Undersecretariat of Intelligence of the Military Police and the Dog Action Battalion (BAC).
According to investigations, the operation focused on suspected drug selling points in the region. During the investigation, five men were arrested on suspicion of trafficking. Another was arrested for receiving possession.
During the operation, the police seized a large quantity of narcotics, a revolver, cash from criminal activity and various materials used to sell drugs.
Furthermore, the teams located a property used to store counterfeit products. Hundreds of football club shirts were seized at the scene, which, according to the investigation, were destined for irregular trade.
The Civil Police reported that investigations continue to identify others involved in the activities under investigation.
