A senior woman lost almost 20,000 euros through fraud. The police from Malacie are already dealing with the case. An 84-year-old woman was tricked by a person pretending to be her nephew. He asked her for cash in the amount of 40,000 euros and put pressure on her. The police reported about it on the social network.
“In the end, after urging and pleading, according to the instructions, the elderly woman placed cash in the amount of 19,800 euros in an envelope in the parking lot in front of one of the hotels in Brno, on the front wheel of a parked motor vehicle“, the police said.
She again called on citizens to inform their elderly family members about the scams. In case of suspicion of fraud, it is necessary to contact line 158 and not hand over money to anyone.
